The shadow copies for Windows seven or Vista that were mentioned within the previous tip will consume quite a trifle of disk area. However, it's simple to alter the area settings for these System Restore backups. These settings are found beneath System Protection. There are varied ways that to access them however here is one that's convenient :
Be aware that Vista Home Premium doesn't give for access to shadow copies nor will Windows XP.
- Open the beginning menu and right-click laptop.
- Choose Properties.
- On the left facet of the window that opens, click System Protection.
- The dialog shown in figure one below can open.
- Highlight the disk or volume you wish to configure.
- Click the button Configure.
- The dialog shown in figure two can open. during this case, disk C: has been selected.
- Use the slider (shown highlighted) to regulate the area allotted on the chosen volume.
- Click OK and OK once more.
Be aware that Vista Home Premium doesn't give for access to shadow copies nor will Windows XP.
